A course in clay & late-summer gatherings

Course Details

A four-week ceramics course that captures the beauty of late summer gathering, the gentle turn of the season, where you will fall back in touch with your hands and your body through the art of ceramics and cooking. Spend the last of your summer's evenings with intention handbuilding with clay to create your dream pasta-night set: from aperitivo dishes and wine tumblers to pasta bowls as we witness the glorious late summer evenings dip gently into autumn dusk. Gather for a golden hour dinner party with loved ones to use every piece you've made. To celebrate the long-awaited launch of my new studio, I’m inviting a small, intimate group of you to take part in a season of creativity with me. Be one of the first to step and settle into the new Studio space, a unique oasis of calm and quiet, that I have been creating over the past 2 years. We will spend golden evenings watching the last of the September sun go down, playing with clay, sipping on local wine and finally dining on a delicious meal of hand-rolled fresh pasta. In this course you will experience the true art of process: starting with nothing to a table of abundance - the sheer joy of indulging in a bowl of fresh pasta from a vessel that you sculpted with your very hands. Over four weeks you’ll hand-build your own pasta-night set start to finish to create a luxury at-home dining experience: aperitivo dishes, wine tumblers, pasta bowl, and pasta tools including pasta rolling boards, pestle & mortars and garlic graters. In our final week, invite a guest to join us for a golden hour dinner party in the studio! An intimate celebration of everything you’ve created. Together, we’ll prepare a meal of beautiful hand-made pasta from scratch, rolling penne, cavatelli, tagliatelli using your handmade tools, gather together to enjoy it from your own finished pieces. A slow, sumptuous golden hour dinner, celebrating the bounty of harvest, gathering with loved ones around your handmade table.
