Deep root & ground yourself into the present moment through earth’s offerings. Experience intentional drinking with foraged herbal teas & slow, meditative crafting to create a ceramic ritualistic cup using earth materials. - Elsa will settle you into the space by leading you through a 30 minute guided roots meditation giving you the opportunity to return to the breath, awaken your creativity and give you the opportunity to take deep rest. - Upon awakening out of your restorative mediation you will be served foraged herbal tea in one of Tash’s ceramic cups giving you the opportunity to become familiar with what you are about to make. - Elsa will talk you through each foraged ingredient, giving you the opportunity to learn and understand more about wild harvesting and how you can start to open your foragers eye. - Ritualistic tea ceremony, intention setting and conversation will brew. - As you enjoy your tea and an organic snack Tash will introduce you to the natural material that is clay. She will discuss its origins & lead you through a small hand-building exercise so that you can begin to understand the material & bring attention to your senses. - Tash will then spend the next hour & a half teaching you how to hand-pinch your own functional ceramics. In this lesson you will learn the pinching technique, sculpt your own functional ritualistic cup, and ceramic tea strainer. You will explore how to weave earth materials into your pieces experiemneting with leaf & flower pressing. You will each be given the opportunity to experience one-to-one assistance with Tash as she guides your hands and your mindset through the process to produce your own unique, every-day ceramic piece. - Elsa will close your session with a 30 minute guided gentle meditation, weaving in song, and touch. Your functional ceramic cups will be glazed and fired for you after our session, please allow up to 4 weeks for this process.
